How it started
We built it
because we
needed it first.
We're based in Malaysia. If you've ever café-hopped around KL, you know there are spots tucked down alleys and behind shophouses that have absolutely no business being this good and almost no presence online.
“We knew the feeling as customers. We knew the pressure as café people.”
Sipjoy did not come only from weekend café hopping. We also know what it feels like behind the counter: the slow hours, staffing pressure, and constant need to stay visible.
So we built the thing we needed from both sides—a recommendation from a friend for drinkers, and a fairer way to be discovered for owners, not a list sponsored by whoever paid most.
As café operators
We know good cafés still need to be seen.
A strong cup does not solve slow hours, content fatigue, staffing pressure, or being buried below bigger brands.What we stand for
